A Guardian ad Litem (GAL) is appointed by the court to advocate for a child. Most of these children have been removed from their homes because of alleged abuse, abandonment or neglect. Sweet in so many ways, the delectable, mouth-watering Death by Chocolate event is an annual fundraiser that attracts approximately 1,000 attendees. All-you-can-eat chocolate creations from some of the area's finest restaurants, chefs, caterers, and confectioners are featured. Complimentary champagne, an outstanding silent auction, and live entertainment are also offered at this unique event. As an added attraction, Largo Central Park will be lit with more than 250,000 holiday lights! Come join us for a good cause! Founded on Rotary's motto of \"Service Above Self,\" funds raised from Death by Chocolate will allow the Rotary Club of Largo to continue to directly benefit the needs of Pinellas County youth programs. Over the years, the club has donated more than $275,000 to local youth. With your help, we anticipate raising an additional $30,000 through this event in 2009! $20 per person in advance/ $25 per person at the door. TBIN works with local non-profit organizations to collect an array of client level data on the homeless. TBIN is in need of 100 scan guns for rapid data collection by TBIN Network Providers. These scan guns will help homeless soup kitchens, drop in centers, and local shelters rapidly check in their clients daily with the use of bar coded ID cards.
