Spay/Neuter ClinicMonday-Friday (by appointment only) our clinic provides low cost spay/neuter to the public for owned pets. We offer Vaccinations for an additional charge on a one-time-only basis when the pet is being sterilized. Our clinic also provides spay/neuter for low income Hillsborough County residents at a reduced price. Please call (813) 870-3304 for more information or to make an appointment
Pet AdoptionsAll pets adopted from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay are spayed or neutered, have up-to-date shots, and are implanted with a microchip for identification. Adoption Fees: Small Dogs & Puppies under 6 months - $125 Large Dogs - $75 Cats & Kittens - $40
Mobile Adoption Center (MAC)The MAC is a 32 ft. Winnebago equipped as a mobile adoption center. The MAC can transport 15-25 adoptable pets to a variety of locations around the community. Look online to see where the MAC is going!
AnimealsHumane Society of Tampa Bay volunteers deliver free pet food once a month to homebound and elderly residents of Hillsborough County on fixed income who would otherwise be unable to keep their animal companions.
Microchip ClinicOn the second Thursday of each month, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay offers microchipping for $15/pet at our shelter from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. No appointment is necessary, but the animal should be on a leash or in a carrier. Don't lose your best friend!
Humane EuthanasiaThe Humane Society of Tampa Bay provides euthanasia for owned pets who are sick or elderly to relieve suffering, as well as private cremation services. While we do ask a fee for euthanasia, no animal in need will be turned away. Prices for cremation vary by weight.
Feral Cat ProgramThe Humane Society of Tampa Bay supports Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) by offering sterilization of feral cats at a discounted price. Cats will be spayed or neutered, inoculated against rabies & distemper & ear tipped (the symbol for a sterilized feral cat).
Food Assistance for PetsThe Humane Society of Tampa Bay provides free dog & cat food to the public in need during these difficult economic times. If it is a choice between feeding your family or your pet, HSTB will give you a bag of food. HSTB is stepping up to try to keep owned pets in their homes. If you want to help, HSTB welcomes donated dog & cat food for our food assistance program. Pet food is available Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 9am-7:30 pm, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 9am-4:30 pm, and Sunday from 10am-4pm.
