Seniors in Service recruits, trains and places volunteers to help children succeed or elders remain independent.

%newline%Our volunteers are seniors, aged 60 and older. Each serves for 20 hours per week. Income-quafied volunteers earn a modest tax-free stipend to help cover the costs of volunteering.

%newline%Foster Grandparent volunteers serve in public school classrooms, pre-school centers and after-school programs. They work one-on-one or in small groups with children who need tutoring and mentoring in order to catch up to their peers.

%newline%Senior Companions divide their service hours among 3-5 frail, homebound elders. They provide companionship and assistance with light housework and running errands, such as picking up medicines at the drug store or groceries at the supermarket.
