Seniors in Service is recruiting volunteers to serve in its Foster Grandparent Program. The positions involve helping at-risk and special needs children in public school classrooms, Head Start centers and after-school programs. Ideal candidates love children and are patient and supportive.

%newline%Foster Grandparents must be 60 years old or older. They serve for 20 hours per week and receive a transportation reimbursement, training and other benefits. Those with a monthly income of $1128 (single) or $1517 (couple) are eligible to earn a tax-free stipend of up to $250 per month. Other incentives include love, admiration and the knowledge that you are making a difference in the lives of children.
